Residential Services

GTS Heat and Air installs, maintains and repairs home HVAC systems in the Hot Springs area and surrounding communities. From furnace repairs to the complete installation of a central heating and air system, our skilled HVAC technicians are trained to handle all of your requests. Our heating and cooling systems are energy-efficient, affordable and easy to use. When you have one of our high quality heating and air conditioning systems installed in your home, you will immediately notice an increase in comfort.
Here at GTS we pride ourselves on doing the job correctly from the start. That means our Residential Construction department will take the time to ask the right questions to ensure that your investment in your home comfort system is a wise one.
We start by performing a computerized Manual J design load calculation using the most current and updated ACCA approved Manual J8 software. Using the old “so many square feet equal so many tons” rule just isn’t accurate in today’s world of building technology. Factors such as wall and ceiling insulation, orientation, window U values and shading coefficients, and appliance and occupancy heat gain all play into the proper sizing of your home heating and cooling system as well as the proper sizing of the duct system. A proposal is presented with equipment options, and when requested, upgrade options such as filtration systems and indoor air quality options are available.
We will meet with you to discuss the options presented within the GTS proposal, the cost of these options, the advantages and disadvantages of certain types of upgrades, and payback time are all discussed to ensure that you have received all of the information needed in order to make the best decision about your home comfort system.
A company representative will meet with you at your site to walk through the job before any work begins. This ensures that you understand exactly what we will be doing, where we will be placing all of the components of the comfort system and whether or not it will interfere with any other trades. We don’t start the job until you have approved your basic home comfort system design.
Upon completion of the home, a licensed start up technician will make all necessary connections, install, set up and program the thermostats and start up the heating and cooling system. GTS will then give you a packet containing all manuals, warranty documents, information on our prevention plus maintenance program and instructions on how to use your system, leaving you with the peace of mind that you’re in good hands with GTS.
